1. Le Verbe Porter
The French verb PORTER ( to wear ) , like the verb HABITER, belongs to the family of verbs with infinitives ending in -ER.
We have seen previously that to conjugate these verbs , drop the -er from the infinitive to form the stem. Next, add the -er endings (-e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent) to the stem to form the present tense of the verb. If you forget, let's review again the video :

Now, let's look at the conjugaision of the verbe PORTER.
Je | porte | I wear |
Tu | portes | You wear |
Il | porte | He wears |
Elle | porte | She wears |
Nous | portons | We wear |
Vous | portez | You wear |
Ils | portent | They wear |
Elles | portent | They wear |
Examples :
Je porte une robe rouge. - I wear a red dress.
Nous portons nos costumes traditionelles. - We are weariing our traditional costumes.

Let's look at some of the items that we usually wear :
Example :
Let's choose the skirt.
Je porte une jupe .
(do not forget the colour )
Je porte une jupe bleue.
Let's try another one - the white shirt
Je porte une chemise blanche.
and then, the tshirt and the jeans.
Je porte un tshirt jaune et un jean bleu.
BRAVO !!
4. Qu'est ce qu'il porte ?
Now.let's try this :Qu'est ce qu'il porte ? - What does he wear?
Il porte un costume noir, une chemise blanche et une cravate bleue.
Il porte aussi des chaussures en cuir noires et une ceinture noire.
- He is wearing a black suit , a white shirt and a blue tie.
He is also wearing black leather shoes and a black belt.
