Description of  a Person

Comment est - il ? / Il est comment ?                         - How is he ?

This question asks about the physical attributes of someone.

When we describe someone physically, we use adjectives to describe the person's size ( height and width), the hair ( the type ,  length and colour ) , the colour of the eyes and so forth.

Example : 

Je vous presente Asterix et Obélix.

              I present to you Asterix and Obelix.

Asterix est petit et mince. Il a les cheveux blonds. Ses cheveux sont courts.

            Asterix is small and thin. He has blond hair. His hair is short.

Obélix est grand et gros. Il a les cheveux roux . Ses cheveux sont longs

           Obelix is big and fat. He has red hair. His hair is long.
