1. Numbers 70-99

Now that you have revised your basic numbers, we are going to learn numbers beyond 69.. until at least 999,999.

But, let's start with numbers between 70 and 99. These numbers will actually use the numbers you have learnt previously. That is why it is important to do your revision on those numbers before you start this.

2. What is your phone number?


Now that you know your number until 99, we can now learn how the French tell their phone number.

Quel est votre  numéro de téléphone ? Quel est ton numéro de téléphone ?
 

                    

Mon  numéro de téléphone , c'est  le 01 44 18 55 97 ( zéro-un, quarante-quatre, dix-huit, cinquante-cinq, quatre-vingt-sept)


Note

To tell your phone number , you pair the numbers and pronounce the numbers according to the pairs.

And now, can you tell me your phone number?

3. Numbers >100

 

Now , let's look at numbers 100 and above.

4. When were you born?

Now, can you answer the following question :

En quelle année êtes-vous né(e)?                                In what year were you born?

You may start your answer with "Je suis né(e) en .... , " . Can you also spell the year?


Example : 

Je suis née en 1998 ( mille neuf cent quatre-vingt -huit)


Note :


 If you are a lady, you write :  Je suis née en ....
However,  if you are a man, you need to write Je suis né en ....


BUT , the pronunciation for both phrases are the same.
