• WHAT IS THE DATE TODAY?

    We have learnt numbers from 1 - 20. We are going to continue with the rest of the numbers so that we will be able to tell the date.
    But , you need to remember your numbers from 1- 20 first.
    Then, complete the module below and practice counting in French until 60. Have fun!

      Quelle est la date d'aujourd'hui? 

      The numbers from 20 until 69 actually use the numbers between 1 to 9. which you have learnt previously. Do not worry. If you have forgotten them, just take a peek at the previous lesson on numbers.
      Once you have revised the numbers 0 to 9 , you need to know 5 new words : 20 ;  30 ; 40 ; 50 ; 60 .
      Then , basically , what you do is just add two numbers to get your desired number . 
      Example :

                                     20       +       9        =      2 9                                           
                                 vingt      +       neuf   =      vingt-neuf

                       32             
                                     30      +        2       =      32        
                                trente     +      deux   =      trente - deux

      There are however some  exceptions :  21 ; 31 ; 41 ; 51  and 61.
